About Me.
Nice to meet you, I’m Phillip.
I currently lead USG as the 75th President. I serve the Makanda Volunteer Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. These passions provide me valuable lessons in service, leadership, and hard work. I have been as heavily involved as I can be on campus, working in New Student Programs alongside a staff dedicated to making the student experience here as positive as we can. I have worked alongside an exceptional group of men to found a fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon, where I am the Risk Manager.

My entire experience at SIUC has been defined by service, and my history of service goes back as far as I can remember.
I have found a calling in working to maximize the potential of whatever I find myself in- not for wealth, rank or honor, but for personal worth and character. I do all the work I do because it makes me feel good, and I have found advocacy to be a skill of mine.
Allow me to serve you, your friends, and your family by maximizing the immense potential offered by SIUC and its undergraduate programs as your Undergraduate Student Government President. I could tell you whatever you might want to hear; I will not do that, though. Instead, let me show you. I will not let you down. Thank you.

Makanda Fire Department
Firefighter #525
There are two service-oriented roles that have been the central to my time in Carbondale; CoECTM Senatorship and volunteer firefighting.
In USG, I represented the college of Engineering. I have striven to inform our council and be its voice, and I have also leveraged the position to advocate for the college with the state government. I currently intern in DC for Congressman Mike Bost, where I aim to aggressively pursue the visibility of and advocacy for SIUC.
The fire department has been among the best experiences I've had in college. Continuous training as well as round-the-clock responsibilities to respond to emergency situations alongside my fellow firefighters has been a rewarding, if not challenging, experience so far.

Pylortes/Risk Management
I was a RE-founding member of TKE this September, and I am a believer in our mission to bring Greek life up to the standard we profess. When I started, we had around a dozen visionary men- in 6 months, we are already the 3rd biggest on campus with 40 members and the highest average Greek GPA of 3.55. I am one of many Tekes with a 4.0. I would encourage any man with ambition to look into our brotherhood; it is no hyperbole to assert that membership will serve you for years to come through the widespread TKE alumni. Join here.

FFA was GOATed
I had a lot of success competing in public speaking, sales, and business competitions, and earned my State Degree with a produce business that I owned and operated. I will earn my American degree next year, and I will be the 4th generation in my family to do so.
